LOWER ELEMENTARY PROGRAM

At Sprouts Montessori High School, the elementary program, is divided into Lower Elementary (1st – 3rd grade) and Upper Elementary (4th – 6th grade).

In Lower Elementary, the teacher student ratio provides for individualized attention and child paced learning opportunities. We offer varied platforms to the child for collaborative and intellectual explorations. We believe that children learn best through movement and work with their hands, to help them reach their full potential.

The Environment

Lower Elementary Montessori classroom is a bright, warm and inviting environment that is conducive to learning. Easily accessible to the child, this specially prepared environment promotes structure and order through visually appealing didactic materials. These concrete materials are placed in a developmental order of work for the children to choose and independently explore. Learning extends beyond the four walls, to real-life experiences and interactions.

The trained adults of the environment supportthe cognitive, and social development of the children. They are story tellers of facts, sowing the seeds of imagination and encouraging exploration through guided discovery approach.
