         Monday, 2^nd January 2017 – School Reopens for Third Term

• The School reopens with regular timings.
•  Tuesday, 3^rd January 2017-Topic of the week- Plant Life

• Children will be given a presentation on the names of the different plants (Desert, Aquatic, Creepers, Climbers…etc)
• Children will learn the names of different plants and trees through Classified Pictures.
• Children will plant a seed and observe the growth of the plant in its various stages.
• Children will be taken to Nageshwara Rao Park on Monday, 9^th January 2017 at 9:30 AM which will  give them an exposure to the botanical life.
• A booklet on the “Parts of a Tree” will be made.
• As a conclusion to the Plant Life week, Plant life cycle movie will be played on the projector to give the students more insight about plants.
• Thursday, 12^th January 2017– Pongal Celebrations

• Children to dress up traditionally.
• Traditionally we will make Venn pongal by boiling rice in a clay pot; it will later be served to our children along with sweet pongal.
• Our campus will be decorated with thoranam and mango leaves.
• Rangoli will embellish our floors with decorative patterns drawn using rice flour.
• The earthen clay pot will also be decorated with coloured patterns.
• Fruits of harvest like Sugarcane will also be placed.
• We will extend our recognition and affection to cattle (Cow & Calf) and decorate them with garlands, apply kungumam on their foreheads and feed them.
• A craft work will be done

• Friday, 13^th January & Monday, 16^th January 2017 –Pongal Holidays

• Tuesday, 17^th January 2017 – Thank you Celebrations
• Whether the child is grateful for someone sharing a snack or a compliment by his/her teacher, this is the day to say THANK YOU. Every child to bring a card/craft, (preferably made by the child at home), and present it to a friend or a teacher or whomsoever they like. Isn’t it a fun way to say THANK YOU

• Tuesday, 17^th January 2017– Topic of the Week- Useful Plants
• Classified pictures will be shown
• Presentation will be given on plant parts that we use (Eg: Roots: Beetroot; Leaves: Spinach…etc)
• Scrap Book activity will be done.
• Show and Tell Activity with Fresh Vegetables will be done

• Saturday, 21^st January 2017- Open Day
• Timings: 9:00 am to 11:00 am
• Costumes for Annual Day will be handed to Parents.

• Wednesday, 25^th January 2017 Republic Day Celebrations
• Republic Day celebrations to be held in school – Flag hoisting and craft activity would be made.
• Children to wear white dress on this day 

• Thursday, 26^th January 2017– Republic Day Holiday
